The Truths of God's Word An Outreach of Great Commission Holiness Ministries
Great Commission Holiness Ministries
The following is a brief but not an all inclusive list of the biblical beliefs of this organization.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Saviour, spoken of by the prophets of the Old Testament, fulfilled in the New Testament.
Micah 5:2 Matthew 2:1/ Daniel 9:25 Luke 2:1,2/ Isaiah 7:14 Matthew 1:18/ Isaiah 53:4,5 Matthew 8:16,17/ Isaiah 53:12
Matthew 27:38
Psalm 69:21 John 19:29/ Psalm 22:18 Mark 15:24/ Psalm 34:20 John 19:33/ Isaiah 53:9 Matthew 27:57-60/ Psalm 16:10 Matthew28:9
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Ghost according to the will of God.
Matthew 1:18/ Luke 1:26-31
We believe that there is one way to salvation, through the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:10-12/ John 14:6/ Romans 5:1,2
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, and that works and deeds cannot earn or purchase salvation.
Ephesians 2:8,9/ II Timothy 1:9
We believe that there are three entities to the Godhead, all of the same spirit, God, portrayed through God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
Matthew 28:19/ John 14:26/ John 15:26/ II Corinthians 13:14/ I Peter 1:2
We believe that the Holy Bible, God's Word is infallible in it's original text, and was inspired solely by God.
II Timothy 3:16/ II Peter 1:21/ Revelation 1:1
We believe that man must be regenerated or "born again" spiritually to attain salvation from the sin nature.
John 3:3-8/ II Corinthians 5:17/ Titus 3:5/ I John 5:1
We believe in full immersion water baptism as an outward symbol of the inward change of the heart in the life of a "born-again" Christian. Waterbaptism represents the dying of the "old man" or the sin nature at salvation, and the resurrecting of the "new man" to the subsequent life after thesalvation experience.
Matthew 3:13-17/ Mark 16:16/ Acts 2:38/ Acts 10:48/ Colossians 2:12
We believe that the indwelling and baptism of the Holy Ghost is a separate experience from the salvation experience and that it is for today'sbelievers as well as the early church. We believe that the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost is speaking with unknown tongues.
Acts 2:1-21/ Acts 2:38-41/ Joel 2:28-32/ Matthew 3:11/ Luke 11:13/ Luke 24:49/ Acts 1:8/ Acts 19:6&7
We believe every Christian is required to live a holy, sanctified lifestyle after receiving Christ as Saviour. This includes but is not limited to abstaining from things such as; ungodly habits, immodest attire, involvement in ungodly entertainment, perverse or immoral behaviour, the blendingor mixing of the genders in appearance or mannerisms, and anything else dealt with directly by God's Word. The "holiness lifestyle" also requiresthe Christian to pray daily, attend church services regularly, read and study the Bible, and commit themselves to pleasing God in all areas of their life.
Romans 13:14/ Romans 12:1&2/ I Corinthians 11:14&15/ II Corinthians 5:17/ II Corinthians 6:14-17/ II Corinthians 7:1/ Ephesians 5:27/ I Thessalonians 4:7/ I Thessalonians 5:22/ I Timothy 2:9/ James 5:16/ Hebrews 10:25/ II Timothy 2:15/ Hebrews 12:14/ James 1:27/James 3:10/I John 2:15&16
We believe that there will someday be a "catching-away" or "rapturing" of the believers of Christ, which will result in a literal decline of earth'spopulation, as these believers are taken by Christ into Heaven.
I Thessalonians 4:16&17/ I Corinthians 15:50-54/ Luke 21:27/ Matthew 26:64/ Acts 1:11/ Matthew 25:31&32/ Titus 2:13/
John 14:3/ Colossians 3:4
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." --John 8:32
